My imaginary…
My imaginary readers have been annoyed with me since my last blog entry. I had trashed some classic songs as boring, overplayed and over-rated. Before I get to today’s topic, let me add to the list, Rolling Stone’s „Satisfaction”. I hope you don’t think that I’m saying this song is bad. Great song, great riff, great chorus, but when compared to so many other Stones songs it comes off as the weaker song. So that we would have the opportunity to listen to their other songs, the damn radio stations should stop playing „Satisfaction”.
While we’re on this, let’s talk about another great band…Metallica and their most popular song…”Nothing Else Matters.” Of course all my imaginary readers agree with me that the song sucks. However, it’s not my intention to convince the ignorant masses that this song should stop existing. There are several groups of people who listen to Metallica: the die-hard Metallica fans (whom ironically I have never met), the heavy metal fans who believe that „Master of Puppets” is one of the greatest rock albums ever but have another favourite band, rock music fans and the stupid losers who like Metallica for that one stupid song, „Nothing Else Matters”.
Rock/metal fans don’t want losers to like their favourite bands. The „lesser people” can like the crap that is played on RMF FM but they are not worthy of bands like Metallica. They are welcome to Sting, Genesis, Survivor, Bon jovi but not metal gods. So, here are two more songs that should never be heard again. I know I won’t miss them. Hopefully next week I’ll finally give you some songs that you should listen to.
